Cultural Agility: A Virtual Keynote for the UK Government

On 31 July, I delivered a 1-hour webinar to the UK Cabinet. The session was on cultural agility and how to turn it into your competitive advantage in the workplace.Topics covered:

  • Unconscious bias: why it happens and how to mitigate it with self-awareness. I focused specifically on cultural bias, affinity bias and halo/horn bias.
  • Cultural Mapping: how to use the methodology of cultural mapping to understand how our culture influences the way we lead, make decisions, communicate and give feedback.
  • Cultural agility toolkit: I shared the framework I created using the word CULTURE to develop cultural agility:
